Take a Puppy Dog, put him in a cup,*bam!* you get a Cuppy Dog! Cuppy Dogs are Puppy Dogs who live by the words, "If I fits, I sits". The legendary hero, Goodest of all the Bois, must rescue the Cheese Bois from the dreaded Danger Noodles. You will journey across the lands of the Cheese Kingdom, using Flying Pointy Sticks to battle Sneks, Nope Ropes and Danger Noodles , saving as many captured Cheese Bois as possible.
For the entirety of our lives thus far, we have had two dogs in our family, Kelly and Yellow. We grew up knowing these dogs as our sisters, and loved them to death. During my second year in University, Kelly died. Yellow followed in her sister’s steps, four years later. When Yellow died, we were just beginning to flesh out game ideas for our startup company. Filled with the memories of our beloved dogs, we painted our white board with game ideas centered around them.
Kelly and Yellow were very different, but had many things in common. Both loved food and sitting in “vessels”. They would dig out spaces in plant pots and sit in them. They would hightail it to the couch and snuggle into the cushions, when they thought no one was looking. Kelly would often try to sit in the dust pan while my mother swept the floor. One of our most cherished memories centers on a morning ritual, where Kelly would “ask” my mother for some of her coffee. It was a very cute and funny scenario. For Yellow, she loved to eat pieces of coconut. One of the last memories I have with her, was seeing here patiently wait, as I split open a coconut and prepared a piece that was cut just for her.
We realized, being well versed in the internet meme culture that surrounds dogs, that our dogs truly followed the mantra “If I fits, I sits”. We combined their love of food, with this mantra, to produce “Cuppy Dogs”. Take a puppy dog, put it in a cup and bam! You get a Cuppy Dog! Cuppy Dogs are Puppy Dogs who live by the words “If I fits, I sits”. This theme led to the creation of several characters, where a particular dog would sit in a vessel of its favorite food. We then planned to name every dog character based on a dog related pun. Thus, we created our very first original Cuppy Dog character “Pup Noodle” (A Shiba Inu puppy in a ramen noodle cup, perfection). We built an entire world around the Doggos, using more of the internet meme culture surrounding dogs and other loveable animals. Thus the world of Cuppy Dogs was born, where Kelly and Yellow are featured as playable characters.
